Since setting up Vondel Professional Development at the beginning of 2009
Peter Hobbs and Sarah Barnes have seen an explosive interest in the company's
products and services. No sooner was the ink dry on our business cards than
we had designers, KennedySimpson, working on the
Team PlanningTM pack
which is now an immensely popular part of our project management offering.

February saw the launch of Peter Hobbs' book Project Management, published
by Dorling Kindersley as part of their current re-write of the Essential Managers series.
In additon we were out in India meeting members of the business community in Pune.

In March we began work on a range of materials linking the disciplines of finance
and projects to create a new modular programme
Profitable Projects which seems
to have attracted interest from a variety of quarters and is likely to run with its
first client in July or August of 2009. We anticipate that this will become one of our
case studies later in the year, so watch this space!

Of course, there is a recession on and business volumes from existing clients
are generally down, but Vondel is building firm foundations for the future with
four
new clients since the beginning of the year, an increase in associate work
and the prospect of an
international alliance with an Indian training company
bringing fresh thinking and capability to our portfolio.

Our most resent investment is, of course, our website, once more masterminded
by KennedySimpson. Although more expensive and difficult to produce, we took
the decision to have the site built with a self-edit facility so that we can continue
to keep you informed of our latest developments. If you look carefully you will find
parts of the site still under construction, in particular around client case studies
and our products. We hope you will visit us again soon to see how we're progressing
and would be delighted to hear any suggestions you have for ways we can improve.
